For the past year, one of the country's most sought-after precision rocket launching units has honed its skills, waiting for its time to deploy in the fight against the Islamic State, a jihadist extremist militant group.
"The whole unit has a quiet swagger, but it won't be long til you make some noise and light up the skies with rocket and missile fires," said Col. John Rafferty, commander of the 18th Field Artillery Brigade, as he bid farewell to troops during a color casing ceremony Monday on Fort Bragg.
