Cars honked as a group of employees from the Fayetteville Veterans Affairs Medical Center waved signs in support of the hospital Friday afternoon.
The group, members of the American Federal Government Employees Local 1738, stood along Ramsey Street to bring attention to a federal report recommending closure of Veterans Affairs hospitals across the country. They waved to passersby and held signs for about an hour.
